The final days of summer are rapidly disappearing, but it's been a terrific two months. Tomorrow, I'll go to school to start putting my classroom together for a new year. Class starts the day after Labor Day, but kids and parents will be coming for Orientation and a short visit a week from Tuesday. There's a lot to do between now and then! Anyway, here's the fun stuff that's been going on around the studio this past week...drinking tea, doing some applique work, LOVING the new wheels on Big Girl AND the new Perfect Circle Maker. I feel like I have a new machine, and I haven't enjoyed quilting this much for quite a little while! It's running as smooth as silk!
One of my FAVORITE customers, Heidi, showed several quilts in competition a couple of weeks ago, and the quilts did very well! Heidi does a beautiful job with both piecing and applique, and it's always exciting when she enters quilts for show. I'll add more pictures later...all of my quilting is free-motion here, even though the judge thought it must be template or laser work.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy these creative adventures from the Hearts & Pines Country Quilts Studio.
