I never, ever, ever get over the total FUN of working with my Viking Designer sewing and embroidery machine! Last night, I was up late -- working on three different quilts all at the same time...plus starting to plan and cut fabric for a cute little playsuit for Chelsea. I have my friend, Bobbie Greiner, to thank for the joys this machine has given. I remember, years ago, taking my beautiful deep red Viking machine in for a tune-up. After more than twenty years, this baby was STILL under warranty. That Bobbie, I wonder if she knew what she was doing when she gave me a Viking Designer machine to take home on loan while my machine was being repaired. OMG OMG OMG simply can't describe what happened to me with that loaner machine! I was hooked. Totally. Completely. Forever. I still have my older Viking, and it still works beautifully. But, I've added several more Viking machines to my lineup of fun in the studio. Sewing and quilting just can't get much more fun than this.
Here's the adorable little playsuit I'm making for the VP. We'll be seeing her again in just a few weeks, so I want it to be ready to go. I'm using cute little pink/multi prints from Moda's Girlie Girl collection. I'm using the first print (below) for the main part of the playsuit. It sure is fun to sew for children. It brings back memories of my mom, who used to sew for me AND my Barbie dolls all the time. It was always fun to come home from school and find a new outfit for one of us! If you like this playsuit pattern, just click on it and you'll link right to it on Simplicity's website. This New Look collection of patterns has a lot of really nice designs for children. I just love the little shoulder and skirt ruffles on this one!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy these creative adventures from the Hearts & Pines Country Quilts Studio.
